Puppies Training Guidelines

Many people adore golden retriever puppies. But in spite of being adorable, these puppies are known to be very mischievous. Owners usually compare them to children whom they teach house rules and good manners. Golden retriever puppies also need to be taught to obey the house rules and etiquette.

When your golden retriever puppies are about 2 to 3 months old it is high time that you started training them. At this age golden retriever puppies understand lessons well and remember them very quickly. First of all your golden retriever puppies should get acquainted with a set of everyday rules. These rules must involve where their food and water dishes are placed, when they are fed and where their bed is located. Also it is very important to let your golden retriever puppies know when they should get up and when it is time they go to sleep. By learning these rules, your golden puppies pets will easily adapt to your way of life and your schedule.

The main purpose to train golden retriever puppies is to make them feel protected and cared. The feeling that they are protected gives them the security they require even when they are in a strange surrounding. The behavior of golden retriever puppies will be still predictable. In this respect they are like chihuahua puppies, shih tzu puppies or poodle puppies.

Golden retriever puppies will learn everyday rules in about 1 or 2 weeks. As they become older and achieve age of about 3 to 6 months, you should give them another set of routine rules. Since they have been instilled in your puppies, it is high time for them to learn commands like 'sit', 'lie down', 'shake' and so on. At this age golden retriever puppies learn commands very fast.
